We must ensure staff receive training on data protection matters to meet the accountability principle.  

We also offer CPD accredited virtual training for all organisations. The sessions are either presented or pre-recorded. Please see the available courses below. 

 

Virtual Presented Training

IGS offer a range of quality training courses to meet your data protection needs. Our qualified staff deliver modules and answer questions at the end of the training. Tricky questions welcome! IGS hold CPD certification. Each completed module awards CPD points to the attendees. 

 

Managing Personal Data Breaches (One hour) 

How to recognise and manage breaches in line with the legal requirements. There is a Q&A session at the end of the presentation and a hosted Slido quiz to complete the training

GDPR in Practice for School Data Protection Leads (Three hours)

A more detailed session on compiling and maintaining documentary evidence of compliance.  There is a Q&A session at the end of the presentation and a hosted Slido quiz to complete the training

Data Protection in Practice for Trusts (Two hours)

This session is aimed at those people who are involved in the day to day management of data protection practice and records management in the Trust, and how you can both support your schools to comply with GDPR requirements, and also to monitor their compliance.

£400 per session and 2 CPD points awarded upon completion

Handling Statutory Requests (FOI/SAR/EIR) (Three hours) 

A guide to handling statutory requests and the law behind them. There is a Q&A session at the end of the presentation and a hosted Slido quiz to complete the training

IGS Framework Training (Three hours)

  Please note: This training is only available for IGS DPO Customers.

This training is aimed at staff who have taken over the data protection lead role in schools, and are not familiar with the IGS Framework documentation. This will provide an awareness of what you need to do to keep the framework documentation up to date and the school compliant. This can be provided in conjunction with the DPO Lead training - ask IGS for more information on combining the courses.

£375 per session and 3 CPD points awarded on completion

 

Data Protection Officer Training (Four hours) 

A detailed guide to the role and responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer. There is a Q&A session at the end of the presentation and a hosted Slido quiz to complete the training  

£500 Per session and 4 CPD points awarded upon completion 

 

Pre-recorded Bite Sized Videos  

IGS also offer a wide range of training videos to meet your data protection needs. They focus on specific data protection topics. You will own the recording and can use it to train your staff as and when required. Each completion of the training earns the participant 1 CPD point. Each recording is £30 - £50, however we offer a discount if two or more videos are purchased.
